Douglas is a journalist, copywriter and photographer.

He is currently a North of England reporter at news agency SWNS, where he covers court proceedings, breaking news and human interest topics for national and international publications.

Douglas has also written and edited newsletters, website content and promotional material for marketing firms and independent businesses both in Britain and Denmark.

Douglas holds the "gold standard" NCTJ Diploma in Multimedia Journalism with 100 wpm shorthand, along with a bachelor's and master's degree in social anthropology.
